need something you are not finding? While sitting in a college faculty lounge, I saw this title written on a dry ease board. Obviously, this was a community board for the faculty who came into the lounge to leave their remarks. As I read some of the remarks, I initially laughed and their responses made me say "uhn, poor thing". After reading countless remarks of how their lives as professors with immature, energetic, but still human college students, was about to drive them crazy, I couldn't help but to laugh. This board allowed them to pour out their hearts on any given day about the one thing they needed in that day but couldn't find. I am going to let you all in on some of those answers. One faculty said that they were looking for their "mind". Others said "mood stabilizing drugs", "german chocolate cake" and "dedicated students". Though the answers varied, the need was the same. They were screaming out for something they believe would help them cope better in the environment they were in, thus accomplishing the task they had at hand.As funny as those entries were, the fact still remains that a lot of us can say that we are in need of something that we are not finding. For most of us, it is some fulfillment of life and happiness. And while life is comprised of many moments ( good and bad), I want you to know that no matter which "moment" you are in, you can always find fulfillment for your soul. YOUR SEARCH IS OVER!!! For every need that you may think about or utter, know that the supply rest only in Jesus Christ.Phillipians 4:19 says that "...God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus". The problem is not that we have a need and that we are looking to fulfill it. But the problem is where we are looking for satisfaction to come from. If you put your hope and trust in men, you will be disappointed.Ladies, have you ever been disappointed by the fact that the person whom you believed should have known you better and be able to tell what you are looking for, didn't? No matter how much we form friendships and relationships, nobody will ever completely know what we are looking for, but Jesus. David in psalms 139 said that God "knew him". Whether he got up or sat down, God knew about it. No matter where he went, what he thought, and what he did, God knew about it. He spoke about God's Omnipresence and Omniscience. God is everywhere and knows everything. Many times what we feel is a need to be addressed, is really a "symptom" to another problem. Many times we are not aware of what the real need is. That need could be underlying and oblivious to us. So we look to satisfy what we think is our real problem and end up only satisfying a symptom. People can only satisfy your "symptoms" but only God can get to the root of the matter and satisfy your completely .If you truly feel that you are in need of something that you are not finding, then it is probably because you are trying only to treat the symptom. The Great Physician, who is Jesus, is able to treat mind, body and spirit. He is able to make you complete without any feelings of lack. He is what you have been searching for. If you have been searching for fulfillment, joy, peace of mind, sense of belonging , companionship or whatever your heart's desire, I can tell you that your search is over and your answer is MORE OF JESUS!!. He gets to the heart of the matter and fills you like no other.
