My First Fruit
W.O.M.B.
The mission of this whole ministry is to empower women to bear fruit. Now God has called each and every one of us to be productive in ministry. He also expects that our labour produces effective and abundant fruit. The kingdom of God has room for different offices and ministries; for we are not all called to Evangelist nor Pastors. Therefore, each varying ministries will produce and bring forth various fruits in different seasons.
Nevertheless, no matter what call you believe is on your life and what prophecies have been foretold over your life, Galatians 5 makes it evidently clear that there is an expectation by God that every believer bears "this kind" of fruit. It is this fruit that is expressive and evident that we have put on Christ. The characteristics of Jesus must be present in our every day life no matter what ministry you are called to. Women, your ministry cannot be fulfilled with the Galatians 5 "fruit of the Spirit".
A fruit is indicative, not only of the type of tree it comes from, but whether the tree is doing well. Good fruit speaks that the tree is good. Bad fruit tells us that something went wrong from the time of sowing to the time when the manifestation of the product should have happen. Most of the time we try to produce spiritual fruits without the help of the Holy Spirit and certainly without submission to Him. Christian character is developed through the Spirit of God. If we could have attain this fruit in our own efforts, then God's Word would not have listed them as being a "fruit of the Spirit". Though we are evidently clear that we were not born with these qualities, it does not mean that we are not able to be transformed into becoming like Christ. The key is that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life is what produces Christian virtues.
Why is this important in any ministry God calls us to?
The Diamond Truth
Your fruit testifies
to the type of woman
you are.
Women we are called to live by the spirit for it pleases God. Anything else puts your ministry in jeopardy and you have no guarantee for the effectiveness it brings. The question we need to ask ourselves is "What kind of woman am I "? Am I a Galatian 5 :22-23 woman? Am I even trying to become one.? Let us purpose ourselves that the first fruit we bear is that fruit of the Spirit.
Kingdom ministry operates through kingdom principles. Unconditional love brought into the world a plan of Salvation and a sacrificial Lamb that paved the way for salvation. That lamb was Jesus Christ. His love was stronger than any blows or insults meted out to him by His accusers. That love conquered all and brought hell to its knees. If love was in the ministry of Jesus, then love needs to be present in yours. Your ministry is not your own but it is an assignment by God that was entrusted to you.
We cannot go on living in the habitual conduct of the flesh and expect our spiritual ministries to thrive. Every ministry should always incorporate the ministry of reconciliation. That is to bring people to the cross of Calvary; to win souls for the kingdom. That Galatians 5 "fruit" causes you to abound and to excel. It changes lives, including your own.
